Privacy Policy
Updated: July 15, 2026
Here we explain, plainly, what data Saggo processes, why, and what rights you have under the GDPR.
1. Who processes the data
The data controller for Saggo is Knowledge for Action SRL (VAT RO46968235, reg. J23/6889/2022), with its registered office at Str. Aleea Veronica nr. 36, Tamași, Ilfov, Romania. For any question about your data, write to contact@saggo.app.
2. What we collect
For presenters (account): your email address, used for sign-in (access link sent by email) and for service-related communication.
For participants: no account, name or email required. Answers given in a presentation (votes, texts, positions on an image) are stored against a randomly generated, anonymous technical identifier. Nicknames are optional and only used in quizzes.
Technical data: minimal server logs (needed for operation and security).
3. Why we use it (legal bases)
Performance of the service (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): sign-in, running live presentations, storing answers for the presenter.
Legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)): platform security and abuse prevention.
We don't sell data, we don't profile you, and we don't use your data for advertising.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use only what the product strictly needs: a session cookie for signed-in presenters, a cookie for your chosen language, and an identifier in the participant's phone local storage (so answers can be resumed on reconnect). No tracking or advertising cookies.
5. Who we share data with (processors)
Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany, EU), servers and database.
Email: Resend, delivery of sign-in links to your address.
AI analysis (optional): if the presenter explicitly requests “AI analysis”, the open answers of that presentation are sent to Anthropic (the Claude API) for synthesis. The analysis runs only at the presenter's request.
Payments: Stripe processes paid Pro subscriptions (only for presenters who upgrade) and receives your email and payment details.
Feedback: if you send feedback through the in-app widget, the message, the page address and any screenshots are sent to Atlassian (Jira Cloud) to handle it.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA: the servers and database stay in the EU (Hetzner, Germany), but some processors (Anthropic, Resend, Stripe, Atlassian) are in the US; transfers to them rely on standard safeguards (standard contractual clauses or the Data Privacy Framework).
6. How long we keep data
Participant answers are kept as long as the presentation exists; deleting a presentation permanently deletes its slides and all its answers. Your account and associated data are deleted on request.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Write to contact@saggo.app and we will reply within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
8. Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in uses single-use, expiring links, no stored passwords. Only the account that created a presentation can access its data.
9. Changes
We update this policy when something relevant changes (for example, a new processor). The current version and its update date are published on this page.
